Winners of “South West Bed & Breakfast of the Year 2007/2008” by the Taste of the West Food & Drink Awards 2007 for the 2nd Year running!!!

Get away from it all - enjoy bed and breakfast in a converted stable block with panoramic countryside views
Relaxation, great food, warm welcome and something a bit different - you'll find it all at Fern Cottage!!

Fern Cottage was built around 1750 and set in 2 acres of gardens, adjoining conservation land, with extensive views across Bristol and towards Bath. We are a registered smallholding growing own fruit and vegetables organically without the use of chemicals or pesticides.

Awarded South West Bed & Breakfast of the Year Award, you'll enjoy our delicious West Country farmhouse style breakfast using locally produced or home made/home grown produce. We have found some fantastic local suppliers (some of whom have won Taste of the West Awards for their excellent produce) and have put them together on our breakfast menu to give you a "West Country" breakfast. Click on the MENU Fern on our own website www.ferncottagebedandbreakfast.co.uk for an example of our weekend breakfast.  The breakfast room is solely for guest’s use, so you can relax and enjoy your breakfast at a leisurely pace.

If you are planning a weekend away sightseeing, it's ideally situated in a greenbelt/conservation area between the two cities of Bath and Bristol. The centre of Bath is just 15 minutes away by car or give your car a rest and take the nearby Lansdown Park and Ride bus service - its cheaper than parking in Bath. Relax in Bath’s Thermae Spa or visit some local attractions like Westonbirt Arboretum at Tetbury, Tyntesfield House, Dyrham Park, Bristol Harbourside, the SS Great Britain, the Cotswolds, Longleat, Cheddar, Salisbury, Stonehenge or the pretty villages of Lacock and Castle Combe. There's many more and we have plenty of brochures and information to help you get the best out of your stay with us.
