The hotel is in a peaceful and select residential area of Bath. We are approximately fifteen minute walk from the city centre and very close to Bath's beautiful botanical gardens and Victoria park. On the hillside less than two miles away is Lansdown race course.
We are far enough out of town to avoid the noise and late night traffic, yet close enough that the Abbey, Roman Baths and Pump Room are within easy waking distance via the park.

This can be a problem in Bath. We at The Gainsborough are fortunate in that we have our own free car park within the grounds. Most of our guests leave their cars and walk into town. The town's largest open car park is less than three minutes away.
THEATRE
Bath's Theatre Royal is popular with guests, we would be pleased to help you with bookings and programmes.
GOLF
There are several courses in Bath, the nearest (a municipal) is only 800 yards away. We would be happy to advise on booking arrangements and green fees.
SIGHTSEEING
There are many things to see and do in Bath and the surrounding area, we would be very pleased to help you. We can provide you with maps, brochures and advice on places to visit, things to do.
