The Hermitage is a charming 16th Century country house set in it's own gardens and grounds, situated in the village of Box only 6 miles north east of Bath.

Ruth and Paul Best will welcome you to the Hermitage where all rooms are freshly decorated and have en-suite shower and toilet, colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities. There is a lounge and dining room with a high vaulted ceiling exclusively for the guests use. We offer a wide choice of menu at breakfast time. Ample private parking is available.

There are several pubs in Box where good food is available however should you wish to eat out in Bath we have sample menus of many restaurants.

We have maps available showing the car parking in Bath and there is a regular half hourly bus service to and from the city should you wish to forget about your car for a day.

PhotoThe superb swimming pool is open from May to August and heated to at least 80° f.

Box makes an ideal base to visit well known attractions like Lacock, Castle Combe, Longleat, Cheddar, Avebury and Stonehenge.

Directions
for finding the Hermitage: Travelling from Bath, follow the signs for the A4 to Chippenham, the first village you come to is Box. There are 30 mph signs all across the road as you enter the village and our drive is on the left a few yards after these signs.
