Highways House was built in 1874 using the beautiful Bath stone; set in landscaped grounds on the high side of the hill, the property reflects the magnificent architecture of the Victorian era. Access is directly off the Wells Road (A367), with free on site parking for all of our guests.

A short ten minute stroll will take you to the city centre or railway station. The Bath bus service runs past our door approximately every 10 minutes - thus guests have the option of leaving their car in our car park whilst they go off for the day sightseeing.

All the comfortable en-suite bedrooms are individually furnished and decorated and include:-

Central heating, double glazing, soft water, colour TV, radio/alarm clocks, hair dryers and tea/coffee making facilities . Ironing facilities are available on request. For those who prefer no stairs, one bedroom (king size/twin or triple) is on the ground floor, as are the spacious lounge and the breakfast room.

Some of the rooms have King/Queen size beds and some are capable of sleeping three people comfortably, either in a double/single or three singles configuration.

For the convenience and comfort of our guests Highways House has a non smoking policy throughout. Our traditional full English breakfast which is cooked to order includes a selection of home made produce and traditional foodstuffs. Vegetarian and special diets can be catered for with advance warning.

Cancellation policy - 48 hours prior notice of cancellation is required otherwise the deposit of one night's accommodation charge will be forfeited. Advance bookings are recommended, especially at weekends for which we require a minimum of a two night booking.

We do recommend that our guests should stay a minimum of at least two days in Bath. Not only is there so much of interest in Bath itself, but there are some wonderful self drive routes and escorted day tours that we can recommend originating and finishing in Bath.
