This has been our home for nearly 30 years and has been carefully restored to an exceptionally high standard. You can be assured of a warm welcome and a relaxed and comfortable stay.

     

Thurlestone Lodge is located in a quiet position on the outskirts of Corsham, an historic market town just 7 miles to the east of Bath. Set within lovely landscaped gardens, there is ample private parking and secure facilities for bicycles.

A 10-minute stroll takes you to the centre, where peacocks wander amongst the period dwellings dating back to the 13^th Century. A good selection of eating-places and interesting shops are to be found there. Bath is easily accessed by a half-hourly bus service or by driving to either a city car park or a ‘park & ride’.

This is a spacious Victorian family home, where the utmost attention to detail has been observed during renovation so that it retains its character. It is fully centrally heated with quality furnishings throughout, and we have an AA 4 Red Diamond guest accommodation rating –awarded to the top 10% of establishments.

Accommodation is available in double or twin rooms.  These are airy, individually designed & equipped with TV and hospitality trays. High quality co-ordinated bedding & linen and comfortable seating are all provided to enhance your stay. Both have modern en-suite showers, with deluxe fittings & accessories and all the little touches that make such a difference.

We offer a full English or Continental breakfast, which is freshly served in the beautiful period dining room, using local & home made produce wherever possible.

As well as Bath, we are within easy driving distance of:-

·         The Cotswolds

·         Longleat

·         The quaint villages of Lacock & Castle Combe (used in many period dramas, & Harry Potter)

·         Cheddar Gorge

·         Badminton horse trials

·         Bradford-on-Avon and the Kennet and Avon Canal

There are numerous sporting facilities nearby, including 5 golf courses within 5 miles, a sports centre, tennis courts and a swimming pool in Corsham itself. We are surrounded by beautiful countryside for walking, riding & cycling.

Twin/Double rate: £55 to £68

Supplement for 3rd bed: £5 to £21

We ask for a deposit on booking, with the balance payable by cheque or cash on departure. Please make cheques payable to V. Ogilvie-Robb.

We would kindly request guests to arrive between 5:00pm & 7:00pm, however if you are going to be outside these hours, please let us know so that we can ensure that someone is here to greet you.
