A mile from the city centre, the Priory with its beautiful gardens is a Country House style hotel in a peaceful location. Well appointed public rooms are complemented by the recently refurbished and individually decorated bedrooms. The restaurant has a high reputation and consistently receives awards. The Priory Hotel was converted from a private house to a hotel in 1969. The Priory Restaurant, with its world-wide reputation, is highly rated in all the well known guides, is open for lunch as well as for dinner. The 'cuisine' is mainly French but also features the best of local traditional dishes. The cellars have an extensive range of wines from all the best producing areas in the world. The Hotel has
three dining rooms offering a superb à la carte menu

paintings and antique furniture, or the elegant Terrace
Room leading to the delightful Orangery.
